Scottie Scheffler's New Putter For 2024

Scottie Scheffler is one of the best golfers in the world and is absolutely dominating on the PGA Tour in 2024.

His golf from tee to green is arguably some of the best we've ever seen and is up there is the same level as Tiger Woods in his prime.

But the one area of his game where Scottie is lacking is often his putting. He's had trouble with the flat stick for a while, yet continued to win.

So what putter does Scottie Scheffler have in the bag?

Scottie Scheffler made the switch to the TaylorMade Spider Tour X mallet putter at the start of 2024 and has already seen some great improvements in performance.

The mallet offers better weighting and the sight line is incredibly useful for lining up his putts.

It's certainly a different style to the one he used early on his career, the Scotty Cameron Timeless Tourtype GSS putter which he managed to rack up five PGA Tour victories using.

Towards the end of 2023, he found some form with the TaylorMade Spider Tour X “SS Proto” mallet putter but decided to make the switch the similar spider putter.

With a Strokes Gained: Putting stat of 162nd in the 2022-2023 season, putting is certainly the area where Scottie is lacking.

But the change in putter for 2024 has definitely shown improvement, ranking a slightly better 97th in Strokes Gained: Putting and an impressive 2nd in Putting Average.

Whichever putter Scheffler is using, one thing is for sure, his long game doesn't need any adjusting. But if he's able to find a way to elevate his performance with the flat stick, he'll be even more dominant than he already is.

Perhaps he'd benefit from updating his putter grip to the Sky Vibe from Welton Golf.
